Learning About the Normal Aging Process: When do Wrinkles Come?

Although the details of the normal aging process are going to vary from one person to another, because everyone is different, the basics do remain the same. One of the most commonly asked questions that people have about the normal aging process is when do wrinkles come? The feared wrinkles are really what show your age, and if this is something that you are interested in, here is what you need to know.

What are Wrinkles?

As a person ages, the epidermal cells of the skin become thinner and less sticky and as a result the skin looks noticeably thinner. As a result, the effectiveness of the barrier function is decreased and this allows moisture to be released instead of being kept as a skin. In turn of all this in the normal aging process, dryness is caused in the skin and over time wrinkles.

The normal aging process is something that we all have to deal with at some point, although some people age earlier in their lives than others. There are some people who may be sixty and still look as though they are just thirty, whereas there are others who may only be twenty and look twice their age.

Dealing With Aging

Of course you have to learn how to deal with aging, but fortunately there are a lot of easy things that you can do to avoid it as best as you can. After all, how you take care of your skin and yourself is going to be what has the most major effect on how quickly your skin gets wrinkled and how fast you age.

If you want to deal with the normal aging process as best as you can, one of the most important things to know is that you should be moisturizing. Moisturizing your skin at least once a day is very important, to replenish your skin and make sure that it is not dry and tight.

There are lots of great products out there on the market today that you can rely on for this. Oil of Olay products are especially good because they thoroughly moisturize your skin but without leaving the skin feeling oily or greasy. Keep in mind when you are shopping for anti-aging skin care products that although of course you don't want to spend a fortune, at the same time you usually get what you pay for so you don't want to get anything too cheap.
